1. Scope
This policy applies to visitors of filednotfound.com, firms that inquire about or subscribe to the Service, and their personnel. FiledNotFound is a business-to-business court docket intelligence service; it does not offer a consumer-facing product, request consumer submissions, or act as a law firm or lawyer referral service.
2. Information we handle and its sources
Business and inquiry information. We receive names, firm names, business email addresses, phone numbers when supplied, slice preferences, billing or subscription details, and message content when you contact us, begin a trial, or subscribe.
Public court-record information. The Service is built from publicly filed court documents and publicly available docket information, currently for Miami-Dade County. Source documents may include names, case details, addresses, and other information contained in the public record. We process that information to create source-linked briefs for subscribing firms, not to build private consumer profiles.
Service and delivery records. We keep records of trial or subscription status, delivery timing, selected slices, support requests, and basic operational logs needed to run the Service, keep slices exclusive, investigate errors, and protect the Service.
Website technical information. Our web server receives ordinary connection information such as IP address, browser type, request time, and requested page. The public site does not use third-party advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the Service; evaluate and respond to inquiries; set up, deliver, and support trials and subscriptions; enforce slice exclusivity; improve our operations; communicate about the Service; comply with legal obligations; and protect the rights, safety, and property of FiledNotFound, firms, and others.
4. When we disclose information
We disclose information only as needed to run the Service: to a firm subscribed to the applicable slice when we deliver a source-linked brief; to service providers that host the Service, send email, process payments, or store data for us; when required by law, court process, or a lawful government request; to protect rights, safety, or the Service; and in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of all or part of the business. Service providers may use information only to perform services for us or as otherwise permitted by law.
5. Sale, advertising, and public records
We do not sell or rent website-visitor, inquiry, or firm-contact information, and we do not share that information for cross-context behavioral advertising. FiledNotFound does sell business subscriptions to its Service, which may include intelligence derived from public court records; that is different from selling a visitor’s or inquirer’s personal information. We do not claim ownership of public court records or control the practices of the public agencies that publish them.
6. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Service, maintain exclusivity and delivery history, meet legal, accounting, tax, and security obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We delete, de-identify, or aggregate operational logs when they are no longer needed for those purposes.
7. Your choices and requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your business contact information, or ask us to stop non-essential email, by writing to privacy@filednotfound.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding. We will honor valid requests except where we need to retain information to comply with law, protect the Service, complete a transaction, or maintain required business records. A deletion request cannot remove information from the public court record or from systems controlled by others.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information under our control. Access to subscriber and operational information is restricted and authenticated. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a security incident requiring notice under applicable law, we will notify affected parties as required.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our Service or legal obligations change. If a change is material, we will notify subscribed firms at their subscribed business email address before it takes effect and update the effective date above.
